This interior design project was carried out by Estudio Rodrigo Izquierdo, encompassing both the spatial distribution, as well as the design of furniture and custom-made elements. Home / Studio of a Photographer in Milan: This project transforms an old industrial building into a home / studio of a photographer in Milan, creating a versatile space that seamlessly combines a modern home with a creative studio. Covering 450 square meters, the architectural intervention focuses on optimizing natural light, incorporating rectangular skylights that efficiently illuminate every area of the space. The design follows a concept of contemporary architecture, inspired by Roman architecture and Moroccan riad structures, creating a functional and aesthetically balanced environment. The open layout allows for a smooth transition between residential and work areas, enhancing the flexibility of the interior design. Every detail, from the selection of materials to the arrangement of furniture, is carefully designed to maximize both comfort and functionality. This project demonstrates how industrial space renovations can lead to a design-forward home that combines aesthetics and efficiency in an urban setting, creating an eclectic, timeless space with an international touch that transports you to any major city, from Los Angeles to Melbourne.
